How big is an IPOD Dock, and what Ipods can fit in it?

The sides of the dock don';t seem to taper as they get towards the bottom but this can obviously be tricky to tell with the perspective involved, plus if they were even slightly tapered it would be easier to remove from the injection moulding mould at manufacture.

Its roughle 62mm or 6.2cm which ever you prefer.

Does any one heve the width dimentions of the range of ipods?
As this car has the sat nav it may play the video ipods if they fit?

the latest ipod (5G) ipod is 61.8mm so it should support them all, apart from the ipod Shuffles.

It'll take anything except the shuffle but a nano maybe a little hard to opperate inside it depending on how deep it is

I would say the stereo would take control of the ipod.

Not all car stereos are backwards compatible but if its a stereo that is then yes ofcourse
