Hello all,
I have a 2000 VW Passat 1.8T (240,000 kms), and during this past winter, whenever I closed the trunk (or bootlid, since this appears to be a European crowd) I periodically got the message "Bootlid Open!" on the
message centre. If I got out, opened the boot and slammed it shut, that typically was enough to appease it, and the message went away. This past week, the symbol and message came back, but it's not going away. It seems to turn off briefly and then back on again when I go over a bump, prompting that annoying beep we all love. On a bumpy road, it's quite annoying!
Anyone know where in the boot that sensor is, or help troubleshooting?
