Hi
Had quite a few issues with my April 06 2.0TDi, just wondered if anyone else had suffered in a similar fashion.
Car was bought Oct 06 with 5000 miles on clock as an Approved Used VW. Does 15000 miles a year and has always been dealer serviced, well looked after. All fine until:
1) summer 2009 - overheating in traffic, new fan control module fitted at cost of £450 - VW paid 50%
2) summer 2010 - overheated in traffic queue (on approach to Dartford Tunnel), both fans failed,a/c compressor failed. VW diagnosed also a faulty accelerator pedal (glow plug warning light & loss of cruise control) - total bill of £1300 - VW paid 50%
3) Oct 2010 glow plug light on plus loss of cruise control. One dealer in Glasgow couldn't find fault as light was not on all time. No problem for a couple of months then it started to be more persistent post Xmas.
Diagnose yesterday at a dealership as faulty wiring to accelerator pedal - cost £105
When it runs well it's a dream to drive but I just wonder what's next - the turbo?

Thanks for reading
Robert

Sounds like something else is causing your turbos to fail.
