Hello all,

My 2007 A8 3.0 tdi D3 has a problem with the suspension level control system , the local garage has come up with some fault codes and I wanted to post them on here to see if anyone has any ideas. The orange suspension light comes on intermitantly then stays on after about 20 minutes driving and the suspension goes hard like its on sport mode also the other suspension settings arent available to select . There's no odd noises coming from the compressor and the car feels fine until the warning light comes on. Maybe a sensor on one of the corners of the car failing? If its the suspension ECU that could replaced quite easily, but would that need re-coding to the car?

The codes are - 01400, 00775, 01772 , 01780, 01768,

Thanks in anticipation.

Simon

Update on the code meanings found on www.ross-tech.com

01400 = Suspension Level Control: Control Limit Not Reached

possible causes - Leakage or Excess Temperature Shut Off

00775 = Level Control System Sensor; Rear Right (G77): Implausible Signal
Possible causes Communication Problem between Level Control Module (J197) and Headlight Aim Control Module
Wiring/Connectors from/to Level Control Module (J197) faulty

possible Solutions

Check Communication Problem between Level Control Module (J197) and Headlight Aim Control Module
Check Wiring/Connectors from/to Level Control Module (J197)

Where are the Level Control Module (J197) and Headlight Aim Control Modules located on the car? Are they easliy replaced and at what cost?
