Hello,
Can some kind soul let me know the VW part number for the RH sill trim/cover .This is the thin plastic moulding that covers the sill between the two wheel arches.
It seems to be secured by two plastic caps alongside each wheel arch. It is a simple plastic extrusion about 2 metres long and may not be handed. I think it is meant to protect the metal sill from stone-chips
NOT the sill covers in the door openings.
The plastic has cracked and a hole has appeared just below the rear door pillar.
My much loved 1997 Golf TDi estate is still going strong and I know it is not worth a lot but it is such a nice car to drive.I do like to keep it tidy.
The car VIN number is; WVWZZZ1HZVW340792 if that helps.
A VW dealer I spoke to said ,rather tersly I thought , that the part was longer made and would not give me the part number to see if Ebay or similar sites may offer this part.
Thanks for reading and any imput.
