Help! Changing Passenger Side Mirror

Good evening all,

I have a 51 plate A3 with a broken passenger side mirror (drunken ar5es went on a ramping rage damaging 5 cars on the street).

I've bought a cheap one from Fleabay (colour not matching, but I can live with that), however was not provided with any fitting instructions.

I've done a search on this forum and others but have not been successful. Can anyone tell me or provide me links, manuals or instructions on how to change the mirror?

I'll be happy to update this post with pics for others for future reference.

Hi there is it a complete mirror you have ?? if so open the door and the cover at the window behind the mirror on the inside if you prise it off (its just on clips) once that is removed you may have to take out the foam packing then you expose the spline drive bolt i think its 8mm undo and mirror should come away undo electrical connection refit new reverse of removal hope this helps ....... Unfortunately (cost wise) I went for the safe route and went to mechanics and got it sorted that way! Now I have a nice working passenger mirror!
