I wonder how many people reading this can answer a question. My colleague is about to order his new company car an Audi A8 4.2 Tdi SE Quattro.
We thought that this car should produce 199G/KM of CO2 and therefore should be a band J VED (sources, Audi’s own website, and Parkers VED calculator)
However, a quick search via Audi’s second hand car locater has left us somewhat confused, there are several late 2010 and a few 2011 model year cars all 4.2 Tdi’s and all quoted as being VED Band L emitting 249 G/KM. A somewhat higher figure than quoted on Audi’s own website!
I’m just wondering if someone who actually owns a 2010-11A8 4.2 SE TDi could tell us which band of VED this car is in, J (£235P/A) Or L (£425 P/A)? And what CO2 figure is quoted on the V5c logbook?
I will await replies with interest.
