Hi everyone.Can someone let me know what is the part number for turbo in VW Passat Mk6 55 plate 2.0tdi engine code BKP?.Regards

AFAIK, the BKP uses a Garret turbocharger which is integrated onto the exhaust manifold.

Im thinking about remanufacturing turbo from my passat.i found company in Poland.They offer 24 months warranty on ther job,so i think they are good because brand new from vw comes with 24 months warranty.what do you think?is it worth to do or better buy new one?and one more question:these exchange turbo are they brand new or refurbished?

When bought at retail prices from VW, these turbochargers are not cheap ;

03G.253.010.J retails at about £1300
03G.253.010.JX retails at about £800

As I understand the JX (exchange unit) is a reconditioned turbocharger. I expect that you will need to return your old turbocharger back to VW after installing the replacement, and should also expect the 24 months VW warranty.

Please contact a dealer to confirm that the exchange unit is in fact reconditioned, and also prices.

I'm not familiar with the Polish Turbo Tec company so further research about them would be needed.
The 24 month warranty certainly is reassuing.


There is also quite a well known UK company Turbo Technics, based in Northampton. They have a good reputation for repairing/reconditioning turbos as well as producing precision turbo balancing machines for sale to turbo reconditioning companies around the world.

I would suggest contacting them aswell, for an estimate;

Please note that besides the Passat, the same VW 03G.253.010.J turbo is also used in Golf MK5/Audi A3s as well as VW Tourans.
