Mk1 tt removable towbar?

Has anyone had a removable towbar fitted to their Mk1 TT, I need it to be completely invisible once detached. Also have you had to cut a section of the bumper out?

Thanks for the info, supprised to hear that - il have to make my own then. may be adapt a beetle towbar?
Out of interest is your foot note supposed to be a good mpg, seems very low compared to my 2.7 tdi CLK merc - it returns 46mpg without issue.

Not a good MPG, but I'll put up with it, I think its the effect of dragging the extra weight of quattro and a V6.
Why would you want a bar on a TT, I think they do a rack that goes on the boot.
