It is a PD TDI ? If you look on the logbook, there is the engine code followed bi a 5 digit number. Post it on the forum and we will let you know what sort of oil you could use.

Get a fully synthetic 5w30, 5w40 . The min spec they ask in the book is 10w40 semy-synthetic. Halfords do Castrol Edge 5w30 that replace the SLX III oil (longlife oil). If in doubt, look in the handbook(service book) that came with the car. The oil must say that is suitable for turbo diesel engines, as most oils for petrol engines cannot handle the soot from the diesel fuel ! If in doubt, ask the vendor.

5w-30 and 5w-40 only means how thick the oil is when it heats up, as long as you put a good brand oil in and it is for turbo diesel then you can't go wrong.
