Hi Guys

I am having a problem with the airbag light. I have a 04 Audi A3 19 tdi 3 door.
I had it diagnostically checked and the mechanic told me to get a sensor. It could be that but he was unsure. The part is a 8e0959651b.
I want to replace it myself and bring it back and get the the diagnostic reset. The sensor is suppose to be under the seat somewhere.

The first problem is i cannot find the sensor in the car. Which seat is it under? and is there anything i should look out for?.

Also i hear that a common fault could be the wiring of the sensor which is caused by the sliding of the seat. How would i check this?

Lastly is there any danger of setting off the airbag by fitting it myself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Eamon

That part number sounds like a crash sensor, are the not in the dashboard? Yes the do have some issues with wiring connection under seat causing high resistance.
