Called in to Vw Tamworthto find out what the damage would be for its next service in 4300 miles, The on the screen there was a small list of items, oddly 3.8lts oil @£12.99 per litre, and oil, air and pollen filters.

I said i'd supply my own oil and with that thay said it would cost £180 - £190 ish

certainly stings a bit but thats because you're dealing with a main dealer:(

in fact, £180 seems extortionate for a minor service, especially if your supplying the oil yourself. get to a decent independent mate, forget the main dealer.

Thats what i thought esh, on monday i'll go and check out justvwaudi in bulkington while they have my car in at stratford. I've got my self an Eos for the day.:D

atcually my car will have only done 53000k ish miles but its on longlife so they class it as a 60000k. the cam belt etc is due at 80000k
