Hi all,
When i bought the car it had 5 brand new tyres fitted.
Now, a few thousand miles later i discovered one rear tyre a little under pressured.
Anyhow, turns out it had a monster nail in it.:aargh4:
So i whipped off the punctured and replaced with the brand new spare.
Sorted.
However, i have read that you should not have a part worn tyre on the same axle as a new on the quattro?
My question is, will it be ok for a couple of days (about 20 miles) driving until i can get it replaced?
The nail is about an inch from the inner wall, so it cant be repaired, which means a brand new tyre (mich PS3).
Luckily i have tyre insurance and so it will only cost me the sum of £10:biglaugh:
Once the new tyre is on, i am thinking of removing the part worn, and replacing that with the new tyre so as to bring the correct wear back to both tyres.
Is that do-able?
Thanks!
