Has anyone any suggestions how to programe the remote so that it folds the mirrors when you lock the doors. I've been told by the dealer it can't be done even though they can be folded from inside the car.

On my Seat Leon Cupra K1 you just hold the lock button on the remote for a couple of seconds, I'd have thought the same would apply to the VW.

If it's anything like the B6, I can't see this being possible. From the way it works, it behaves like the mirror control is hard wired to the switch - I doubt if the control goes through any processor function. Also, the function of holding the lock button for a few seconds closes any open windows.

Yeah, one option I wish I hadn't bothered with.

Fail mirrors.

you're right, a complete waste of money, still can't understand why it doesn't work like the SEAT must surely be the same wiring.

Totally disagree. Its a wide car and I've got mine through some entrances with mirrors folded that I would not have attempted otherwise.
