CLIMAtronic not working

Hi, i am hoping someone may know a re-set for the CLIMAtronic system.

My problem is that when i turn my ignition on all characters on the display flash untill i press any button, then all buttons change the correct setting on the display but there is no out from the heater/blower. I have check the fuses etc. and the wiring at the back of the display and all seem fine, I removed all the connections on the display to see if this might initiate a reset (it didn't) but after taking the 2 righthand plugs out the blower came on full power ????

So at the moment i think i might be looking at a new control pannel please can anyone help :banghead:

Well after trying everthing i could think of i bit the bullet and handed over £47 to VW to tell me what i expected, the control unit is dead, even though it still shows numbers etc.....

I think they were a bit shocked when i didn't find thier deal price of £400 for a new one fitted to be that competitive, i have already found a new unit for £123 (bankrupt stock) and £40 to fit.

Air con is great but its a bit expensive :-(
