Hi all,i plan on towing a caravan with my 90bhp Bora but have been told i'm gonna be well down on power,i don't want to change my car so have been looking at a re-map.A local firm reckon they can give me another 40-50 ponies for £320,they reckon it will improve the torque as well which is what i really want as opposed to bhp, they also reckon that if i don't suffer lead foot it will improve mpg,any thoughts!:Blush2:

GO for it! But another 40 to 50 ponies from the 90hp TDI engine? Ummm, they're having a laugh. Mention to them about the uprated injectors from the 110 TDI engine and see if they can find them. It's an easy swap, and with those injectors you should be able to get around 135bhp I imagine. There's other things to improve power as well - performance panel filter, decat the exhaust, etc. Fairly cheap things to do. :) Remap done last.

Thanks Jason i must admit i was a bit dubious when the guy said he could give me that many ponies,i was looking for about another 30 tops, thanks for the info i did'nt realise that changing to 110 injectors would make that much difference,i take it that would be a far cheaper alternative as well.I have had really good reports about this firm and spoke to the guy last night he seemed quite genuine and really new his stuff.:Blush2:

from 90BHP to 135BHP from just the 110TDI Bora injectors ?

Sounds abit mental, how is the mpg when thats changed? and are they a **** easy fit?

also how much are they about?
