2003 passat, what bulbs are required for an upgrade

hi, i have a 2003 1.9tdi sport estate,my headlights aren't the greatest, i'm thinking of trying philips x-treme vision bulbs.

what size bulbs are required ? i want to change all 3 in each headlight

the side light, full beam and dipped beam.

Be wary of high power side light bulbs in conventional incandescent filament designs, I have seen these melt the holders, LED ones are quite good now. To upgrade your main and dip you will need four H7 bulbs.

I tried Philips Xtream, they were great for a few months then both blew, ok if you dont mind the expense.

I have had Halfords +90’s in my car for three years and they are fine.
