RNS-E Display Default - To Off?

The LCD Display defaults to "ON" It can be turned "OFF", using the Setup>Display> Display Off sequence, but next time the ignition is turned on again, the display is back. Does anyone know if defaults such as this able to be changed, maybe via VAG COM, please?

I mainly use the radio, and then on one station (Radio 2:aargh4:). So I don't need the LCD Screen, with it's list of stations, so might as well turn it OFF (and save a few milli litres of precious diesel). I can do this, no prob, via Setup>Display> Display Off, but my setup choice is reset, to Display On again (the default) at nextIgnitionn On. It's this default I'd like to change - to Display Off.

no you cant, it will not use any diesel at all as there is very little load for this
