Hi ive got and 06 2.0 Tdi 140 with DIS and MFSW, given the cold weather and the lack of garage/protected parking I have been reading about the Auxiliary Heating/Ventilation options that could have been fitted when the car was originally purchased (sadly not by me). :(

Does anyone know anything about this system? and can it be enabled used VAGCOM? is it as simple as having the system recoded or does it require additional parts to be fitted?

Cheers in advance. J

It cant be enabled, the parts arent fitted. It wasnt an option on UK spec cars.

You can retro-fit it but it isnt cheap.

:aargh4: Gutted! but thanks for the information, im not going to bother with a retrofit if the parts arent in place. I'll just sit in for 5 mins and defrost it properly.

Yep, it's a fuel burning heater made by either Webasto or Eberspacher and the heater alone is in the £1,000 region.

There is a quick warm up on the internal heater iirc the outside temp has to be under 5 deg you set the heater to high and demist and an electric heater kicks in and warms the car inside quicker its in the manual somewhere
