Map version help (please)

Hi - I am new to the forum and placed this in the wrong place so it got delited so lets try again..

i have just got a q7 , registered end 2006 .

i wanted to update the maps , first i found the dvd untit was somehow locked ?? so i took it apart and replaced the 2006 disk 4e0 919 884 af with disk 4e0060884 CC . after doing this the unit wouldnt read the disk, i then did it all again with the 2006 disk and it works fine.
i have looked and the info i can find on the system is 0850 - 2142 and V3A3 / 20050922175606

have i bought the wrong disk ?

help please as this is doing my head in :aargh4:

Tim, You might want to try teleatlas. I believe they make the navigation DVDs. I know nothing myself, unfortunately.
