I'm thinking of changing the coolant as I topped mine up a while ago with not necessarily the correct type of anti freeze. Is there anything I should worry about? Am I going to get lots of air lock problems and if so how should I avoid?
Car's a 2001 130 TDi Sport.
Thanks.

i changed mine earlier in the year just make sure you use a G12 coolant (comma) make a reasonable one now which is compatable with vw's when i changed mine at the same time as doing the water pump i had no problems bleeding the system out one of the easiest i've ever done but maybe i was just lucky.

You need to detail your engine code. It could be AWX. And use genuine Vag G12+ after a good flush. Regards Peter

Engine is AVF - what's the best way to flush?
