Reversing Light Switch

Hi folks

i think i need to replace the reversing light switch on my 1999 A4 Tdi Avant as they are not working but the bulbs are OK when i test them.

Firstly where is the best place to get one and secondly are they hard to fit and roughly where is it on the gearbox - right or left, top or bottom?

Would need to gearbox and engine code. They both can be found on the white sitcker in the spare wheel bay.

Thats great thanks but i could also do with some info of suppliers (other than an Audi dealer) and where abouts the item is located on the gearbox.

I need the engine / gearbox code to look in the manual for where the switch is located, otherwise I could be telling you a load of rubbish.

http://www.eurocarparts.com stock various reversing light switches, they are between £10 & £20. They have a store in Belfast if that is near you.

HI There

the engine code seems to be AHU or maybe it is AHV - it is a 1999 model year 1.9 Tdi with the 90BHP engine and a 5 speed box.
