Been looking at the new Audi A1 today, looks pretty good so i called at the VW garage next to Audi to see what they would give me for my car, which is a March 2009 1.4 TSI SE 3DR MK 6 Golf in silver having done 9250 miles in showroom condition and they came back with a part ex price of 10000. which i thought was low to say the least. anyone any thoughts on this, and what would be a fair price.

Check out the What Car price guide http://www.whatcar.com/valuations/result?makeId=25321&modelId=25609&editionId=25626&yearId=40&mileage=9250
They suggest £10945, but it depends upon the discount, if any, Audi are offering on the new car.

Try to sell it on www.pistonheads.co.uk (http://www.pistonheads.co.uk) if you can wait sure to get around £12000+. What car reckon about £12600 privately,

A private sale is always best if it suits your circumstances J
Good luck with the newbie :)

had a look at the new audi A1, dont think i will be swapping not a patch on the golf and really expensive, when you add on what the golf has as standard
Yes, have to say that the A1 is Mrs Audi's ugly baby albeit not quite as ugly as the A2.

someone has to pay for all those 2 page ads in the broadsheets - and guess what - it won't be Audi ! ;)
