Hi Everyone,
I hope you can help me or at elate point me in the right direction?
My wife's got an '06 Altea and when I got in tonight, she's telling me that one of the rear brake lights doesn't work anymore. It's the drivers side one if that makes much difference. Also there's no side light either.

Apart from checking the fuses, are there any common faults with these or will I have to take it to our local dealer?

could possibly just need a new bulb.

Thanks for the reply. That's the problem I'm pretty sure it just needs a new bulb, unfortunately they're LED rear lights.

As it's only one of the rear lights it's most likely the unit it's self.

aaaarrrgghhh.

oh , uh oh. leds are indeed great, until one stops working. difficult one to diagnose, but i would start by checking voltage to the unit. i suppose other lights in the cluster work, to rule out a bad earth ?

yep, the indicator works. They way the cluster is designed, both the till light and brake light are combined.

Most likely the cluster itself. Oh well.

not yet. However there is only one for the brakes lights and the other brakes light work.

When I actually gt to look at it in day light I'll be checking it.
