I've only owned my Candy White Mk6 Golf for a couple of weeks, but with winter approaching I want to ensure my paintwork is adequately protected.

What are members with white cars using - any recommendations please?

Hi
You are probably best going for a coat of AutoGlym Super Resin polish followed by a coat of AutoGlym Extra Gloss Protection.
Remember when the bad weather passes to get her power washed underneath to get rid of the road salt which can cause corrosion.
Happy motoring !

Thanks for the advise - I can lay my hands on those easily enough.

As for salt, the bleep-bleep council would need to make the effort to come out and spread some first. We're up to our armpits in snow, on a busy(ish) road ... ... ... or at least it would be were it not for all the damned white stuff ... ... ... and they haven't gritted it in days.

Hi
Once you have polished her, leave the Extra Gloss Protection on for about an hour. Good luck !

I don't envy you trying to wax a car in the cold :( I use Collinite 476, It a detergent proof wax and last upto 12 months!!! it really will look after your paint ;)

I took your advice and bought a tin of 476S - the downside is goodness knows when I'll get to use it, the car is under a pile of white stuff for the second time already :zx11:

Thanks again.
