Service Time

Bought my Golf Tdi Gt in august and this week the menu has brought up the service in 4500 miles or 10 days message, do i really need to book it in for a service in 10 days time?
I would of thought the car would of been looked over when i bought it in august.

Did you buy it new or secondhand? If secondhand, you may find that any warranty is conditional on adhering to the manufacturers service schedule so watch out!

bought it secondhand from the dealership, will ring them monday

So how many miles as it done up to now?

It will depend which option is set in the ecu. If you have the service schedule have a look at the sticker on the first page it will either say QG0, QG1 or QG2 in the code.

QG2 = Longlife 20k
QG0/QG1 = T+D Time and Distance 10k

You could ask the dealer to reset it.

Update: If you don't have the service shedule the other half of this sticker is on the boot floor. ;)
