Cup holder and concert 11 stereo

Just bought my wife an A3 sportback (2007) and noticed that instead of a cup holder on the dash (under the stereo) it has a credit card/change holder and the cup holder sits beneath the front arm rest. Can the change holder be swapped for an in dash cup holder that is found on earlier A3s? If so do I just need to get hold of a cup holder from an earlier A3 and swap it or won't that work because it's a different size. Your advice and thoughts are most appreciated.:beerchug:

The part number for the cup holder is :- 8P0 862 534 C (5PR Black ) £29 approx.

I would think it's a straight swap, although I haven't done it, but if you ring Audi I'm sure they will tell you.

Bizzare that I stumbled across this thread. I had a 60 plate A3 for a day and had a prod and a poke at what I though was the cup holder. At least it is on our 2005 A3. Out popped a very thin tray......didnt look big enough for a credit card or changes holder. Seemed pointless

Still see the new ones have the stupid Arm rest that gets in the way!

It isn't a straight forward swap there is some work to be done on the cup holder before it will fit and operate properly. There is a good write up if you are interested on Audi Sport.net forum
