help!! alarm problem

had a call today while at work telling me my car alarm was going off...being at work there wasnt alot i could do about it until i was home.

everytime i lock the car , after 30 seconds the alarm starts.
thats if using the remote or if i lock it with the key.

at the moment i cant lock the car , so im asking how to isolate the alarm so that i can atleast lock the car.

30 seconds is when the alarm arms. Do you have an Untra sound over-ride button the door piller to over-ride then to see if that is the proplem. What year is the car. Regards Peter

its a 95 c4 2.8 quttro avant.
i dont think it has this button on the door pillar. it has the single button key fob.
i think the fault could be the boot area light being stuck on when tail gate is shut...it could be a broken wire to the switch......but i could just do with disabling the alarm until i get time to sort the wirng through the tail gate.
