how many stages for factory build

Hi, VW customer services informed me that my car is at stage 4 ( paint shop ) , Does anybody know how many stages there are ? Also how long does it take to build ?

IIRR stage 6 is Final Inspection. That's at the Emden factory. It'll get another going over at Emden port before being embarked.

Time at the factory is relatively short. Time spent awaiting embarkation in Germany and again awaiting transport in the UK is far more significant and potentially very frustrating.

It took 3-4 weeks from completing build before mine arrived at the dealer what with waiting for a boat space and getting it all of the 60 miles from Grimsby Docks to the dealer.
