Winter Project , Engine help needed..TDI

Hi lads ,

I recently picked up a 96 110bhp 1.9 tdi,

I was wondering if i could put in a different engine into it i was thinking something like from the b6, or am i complete nuts...

any info would be great

That's a sweet engine you already have, very tractable and durable.

If you want more power, just map it, don't scrap it. :)

If you have a body-shell, you can put many a thing into it,

but these days, its usually not worth the trouble of

transplanting a different engine. There's so many ECU's,

sensors and wiring looms to change, and getting them to

speak to each other is a nightmare.

You can still do a lot of customising to your a4, at a price,

to make it individual. Its really down to what you want to spend.
