Q. Windscreen chips did you have in your last car and your B8........??????
A. B7 - 42 months - 0
B8 - 12 months - 4 !!!!!!!!!!!

Bad roads or cheap screens ???????...........you decide (ala Big Bro).

Over 18 months nil on windscreen .But six paint chips including one on the roof ! I do not think the paint on my Audi A4 is as chip resistant as on my old TT (03) but that is life.

B8 A4 S-Lne under two months with just over 2k on the clock and three paint chips down to the metal on leading edge of the bonnet and two windscreen chips.

Haven't had as many on all my other cars collectively!!!!

2005 A6 S line - 2 chips, 2 repairs in 3.5 years.
2009 A6 Le Mans - 1 chip, poorly repaired over 18 months so far...

Yes I was suprised at how easy the screen scratches, I must of got a small piece of tree/branch under the wiper, now I have a big semi circular arc across my screen, can't really see it until you drive with the sun on the screen then it shows like a sore thumb :(

Don't remember any on my last car and 2 years down and 18,000 miles in the B8 and none yet (better not have cursed me now!)

2 small chips pass side.

However, had 2 windscreens in my impreza in 2 years, so i'm quite happy so far.....!!!!!

2003 Mondeo - 100k miles 2 windscreens
2006 VW passat - 80k miles 3 windscreens
2009 A4 Avant - 30k miles, still on original glass with everything crossed...:biglaugh:
