hi all,i have a passat 1.8t 2002 model,i have noticed around the injectors theres some sort of leakage it looks a brown colour,do any of you know what this is,engine code awt

clean off and check for leak

thankyou for reply,i know this is a long shot but if there is a slight leak would this throw a code up as i keep getting eml light on,code is p0420,now ive heard all sorts of answers could be the cat,lambda sensors,exhaust leaks,just wondering if the slight leak on injectors might cause the light to come on

p0420 is cat effiency check it on an emmission tester it will show a cat fault straight away.......
