I'm guessing your car hasnt got rain sensing wipers at the moment?

Not easy if if you fit the OEM mirror properly as it incorporates the rain sensor for auto-wipers, hence you need a new windscreen as the mounts are different.

However you can fit the OEM one using glue and/or modifying the mountings, Or you can fit a non-OEM one onto the original mounting (might not look 100% though)

You'll need to run a few wires from the mirror down the 'A' post to the fusebox as well, thats simple and easy to do.

you need to check if you have the highline wiring loom. When a8 fitted my cruise, he checked my car and to do this he removed my headlight switch and disconnected it. When he did this, the headlights came on. Therefore, it is a8's opinion that my car already has the wiring in place so all i would need is a new headlight switch, windscreen and interior mirror.

Not sure why you would need the highline wiring loom for a retro fit. All you need is 12volt/ground feed (pref switched) to the interior mirror.

This is the kit I use;

you can use the B5 auto dimmer on the standard b6 b7 screen then a wireing kit from kufatec.de

if you want the b6 b7 with rain sensor you need to change the screen and get the wireing kit prety easy to do

i used a TTS in mine with rain sensor etc took me around 3 hour to wire up and zip it up

I used the same one, and the pictures on the Audi-sport.net thread attached further up (http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/audi-s4-a4-a4-cab-b7-chassis/106139-auto-dimming-mirror-conversion.html) are from my old B6. The same mirror is now in my B7.

It works perfectly, is easy to install, and saves a fortune compared with an OEM conversion. This is one of those mods where you just don't need to go OEM.
