View Full Version : Question A3 Mystery noise

Recently purchased my first Audi (A3). Delighted by everything ( fittings, economy, drive, etc) except for an annoying, intermittent grating / springy type noise from front. Originally I thought it was worn brakes but these have been replaced. Occurs at speeds up to 30mph but not always when braking. Could it possibly be CV joints ? Suspension ? Mystified at the somewhat alarming noise.

Hi mate i had that problem to few weeks ago,i got cv boot changed as the rubber was split and put new wishbone on both sides and is running pretty quiet now thanks
