What make of amp did you use? Have you done a fault code read?

I used one called FACET number 9.4074/f supplied by camberley autofactors.I have no fault code yet a mobile mechanic is comming friday to clear faults ect.

The Passat 2.3 V5 is an AGZ, not an AZG. The genuine number for the ignition amplifier is 071 905 143 and this converts to a Facet 9.4074 as you have fitted. Hopefully this is not at fault or the new coil pack but let’s wait and see what the fault code read says.

No fault code put old modual back on misfire but does not cut out.Got another new modual misfire gone but cuts out again.Do you think it might be crank sensor or what.Still no codes showing.

I have seen cars cut out and leave no codes and then found it was the crank sensor but that does not explain why it does not cut out with the old amp. I think you are going to have to fit a genuine amp.

I can’t see that happening, the VW part is extremely expensive and only Facet and Standard list one aftermarket as far as I can see and it is around £300 from VW.
