My 1.9 A6 TDI seems to vent from the top of the recirculation valve (i think thats what its called - part 17 on attachment) via 2 holes and spay soot/oil onto the top of the engine and side of the bay- is it supposed to?
Runs fine, have cleaned off a few times but it comes back. I took of the pipe from the intercooler to the valve and it also is sooty and oily.
Engine has done 100k is this normal - worth worrying about?
