3.0 v6 diesel into A3

hi does anyone know if the 3.0 v6 diesel motor out of an A4 fit into the A3, and if it does do they know anywhere that can carry out the conversion and possible costs involved

I do not see this being possible!!! The engine for the V6 3.0 in the A4 is mounted differently to A3

You can with a space age chassys and a fully redesigned (shortened b6 audi a4) floor pan. It will mean a lot of money though. There is a s3 with a fully working rs4 engine and drivetrain, it was for sale a few months ago on pistonheads. Its believed the conversion has been done by MTM but i might be wrong...
