audi diesel start stop since crash

I am hoping for some help with my car (Audi 80 td), had a little argument with a hedge and fence.
Only damage was a 4 x 2 post thro drivers window and into dash clocks (speedo etc). Now the car starts and immediately cuts out ,it will do this no matter how many times you try.
Is there somthing in the dash that may cause this or has something else broken?
Any help appreciated.

It is just possible it may be an immobiliser problem. The later 80 TDI had this fitted. Try another key or see can you get your key reprogrammed. (and check ignition barrell)
If an immoboliser is fitted there should be a key symbol on dash
