I wonder if anyone can help me regarding my 1992 Audi 80 2.0 Saloon.
When I bought the car a few months ago, the owner told me that he'd recently replaced the left and right engine mounts and the appearance and sales documents support this. So, no problem with these parts. However, I've noticed that the gear lever 'nods' in response to throttle movement, especially on the over-run and in top gear. It gives a jerky feel to the car as well. I can also see the engine twitch when I rev the engine with the bonnet up.
I've done a site search and the indications are that another engine/gearbox mount is worn. There is no Haynes manual for this model so I don't know the physical layout.
I need to get this fixed very soon as the MoT is coming up next month; does anyone know for sure which part is responsible (going by the symptoms) and the best place to locate it?
Thanks in advance. :-)
