Hello all, am new here and just bought my first vw passat variant 99@1.6 litre engine. cannot complain so far but i have a worry. The temperature gauge points to the middle thus 90 and fine, but another temperature warning on the small screen is flashing red:zx11: .what problem am i having? and what should i do?

You should get a diagnostic fault read first,
and then go from there. Post them here.
Is this warning light on all the time, or when
the engine reaches 90 (on gauge)?

Is it the low water level light? do you get an audible alarm also? mine does that when out of water

Just keep a close eye on the coolant level, and
good luck! ;)
