A3, will it take an a4 towbar

I have been offered a a4 towbar for my 2001 5 door a3 through ebay, it is too far away to check it so I will have to buy it unseeen

Does anyone know if any A4 will fit my a3?

look at the pfjones website, put your car details in and note the options that will fit.

then put the A4 car in and note the options, if any match then i should think it would fit.

You need to know what A4 it has come off, saloon or avant, B6, B7, B8 sline or not and search for barst specific to that.

I really hope you did not purchase the bar because it will not fit, I did the legwork for you by cross referencing the part numbers for A3 and A4 towbars, none of them match so unfortunately it isn't going to fit.
