A5 3dr Roof Bars

Hi There,

Just got some genuine audi roof bars for my 09 plate a5, however i cannot for the life of me work out how to fit them! has anyone done this? the instructions are pretty useless and i don't really want to force them in as i don't really want to damage my car!!
