sounds crazy i know but i am thinking of wrapping my new car (pick it up on thursday next week) the same colour as it actually is, my thinking is to preserve the paint work as much as possible, i know that if i get a deep scratch the paint will still get damaged and likewise with a dint and then if the car needs work doing in the future i have to re-wrap that part.
I need convincing that i'm not insane...any takers?

Well Ford are thinking your way, the new Focus RS500 is Matt Black but actually sprayed Shiney Black then wrapped straight out of the factory.

What would be your plan though, to unwrap the car in 3 or 4 years time and it be good as new. Could work. I would check with the wrapping company that wrapping the car for a long time will not effect the pain. (I don't think it will).

Could be a good idea.

Let us know if you do,

Mark.
