intermittent misfire, please help

hello everyone, an elderly neighbour of mine owns and cherishes his 55 plate A4 2.0lt fsi petrol turbo, and has asked if someone could advise a problem with the car please, under power say taking off from a junction he says the car seems misfire and he is concerned he will inevativly break down. the usual advice has been given ie consult dealer for diagnostics, but is the anything that could be done to fault find first. your insight would be helpful

hello mate i see your not far away, i would recommend a garage take a look at it, it could be a coil pack or something along that line, anyway any garage should be able to plug it in but if you want to use a good garage, you could try looking at the web site good garage scheme (google it) or your local dealer

thanks Phil for reply, i've already recommended a couple of garages for him to contact and i agrre with you it does sound like a coil pack
