:confused: Help air bag light on took to seat dealer had a it diag come back with resistance in circuit on n/s/f air bag wiring harness ok sporadic fault on n/s/f air bag unit requires new part @£759.83inc yes i had to take another look £759.83 any advice on where to get a good unit from and how hard to fit .OR should i ignor the light or is there any sensors i could wiggle:biglaugh::1zhelp:

I have the same issue although mine is a bit more obvious.
I have just bought a leon, just 6 months old but it has had a small bump at the front.

this small bump was enough to deploy both steering wheel and dash board airbags.

I have priced them, but got different prices to you, the steering wheel was something like £670 plus vat, but the dash including airbag was about £470 plus vat.

Although no solution to not spend money I do know there are specialists who only deal with airbags. i.e Buy in kits.

I have been told to try http://www.carsparefinder.co.uk and another car parts company I can't rember name at the moment.

I was told there are suppliers on these systems that have parts in stock even for newish cars.

If you have already found a cheaper solution as this is an old post please let me know.

My airbag light came on after fitting a new Sony audio system and sold the car with that problem,just couldn't get the light to go out,that was the main reason for selling the car,worst electrics iv'e ever come across in a car.

Once the light is on, you need to clear the error within the airbag ECU. disconnecting and reconnecting the battery could cause an error to be logged.



Did you get a fault scan done?

Yes I scanned the codes and erased them, but they always came back.It was the usual code for the passenger side air bag.
