1.6 TDI CR (Common Rail) 105bhp engine new to Superb range
Improved fuel consumption and CO2
Available in Hatch and Estate, staring at Ł17,480

Škoda has announced the introduction of a 1.6 TDI CR 105bhp engine to its multi-award winning Superb range.

The engine offers improved driveability, fuel consumption and CO2 over the 1.9 TDI PD unit which it replaces. Combined mpg has been improved by an impressive 6.9mpg for the Hatch, and 5.6mpg for the Estate while emissions have been reduced by a remarkable 19g/km and 20g/km respectively.

With prices starting at just Ł17,480 the Superb offers the same great value for money as every Škoda. However, it's not just the great value that sets it apart from its rivals. Its style, practicality and luxurious comfort have won it critical acclaim, including Top Gear Magazine’s 'Luxury Car of the Year' and Auto Express’ best ‘Family Car’ and ‘Estate Car’ of the year.

Available in S and SE trim levels, the 1.6 TDI CR comes with a five speed manual gearbox and is available to order at Škoda retailers from today (19 August).

Its a big car for a small engine ! Based on my experience with a MK6 Golf with the same engine there are going to be a lot of dissatisfied Superb owners !
