the rear badges on a A4 avant, are they stuck on or do they have the little pins going in to the body work?

I'm thinking of doing this this weekend. I dont want to take them off and find out there is 2 little holes in the boot that needs filling.

Use dental floss in a sawing manner behind the badge, it cuts through the foam backing and wont damage your paint so you can get it really close (toughing) and not worry about scratching you paintwork and get the majority of the foam off rather than using polishes and t-cut etc.

HTH.

Bit longer than i said but i removed the badges this weekend.

I removed the badges with a plastic trim tool and then used a caramel wheel to remove the foam sticky stuff.

I'll upload some pics in a bit.
Just excuse the tow bar mod. :D

I have always known them as "Toffee" Wheels, so was a bit supprised seeing you called it a "Caramel" Wheel , a quick Google turned up all manner of names, including "Fudge" & "Whizzy" Wheels... :biglaugh:

Nice clean job BTW... ;)

I finaly removed that big hunk of pig iron from the back of my car and fitted a smaller one that i colour coded.

Next is to tidy up the power sockets.
Move them under the car and hid them.
