Another question sry guys

How much do you think the a4 avant 1.9tdi would weigh when on ramps. I'm asking how much weight would actually be on the ramps, with the two rear wheels still on the ground, seen some nice wide 275mm ramps but only rated for 1000kg each...
Most of the 2 tonners seem far to narrow for my 235mm tyres

1 tonne per side is more than enough to cope with your audi....... im only guessing but i would think your car only weighs 1.5-1.75 tonne

Check the angle of approach on ramps . Many ramps are too steep for modern cars with low front bumpers .
My ramps are home made very sturdy ( & heavy) wooden ones that have been used on large vans as well as VW campers and cars. I'm not suggesting that anyone can make their own ramps but if you know what you're doing it is possible. The american steel type with the flanged sides are quite a bit wider than the normal UK ones.
