Very, very nice. I really like the white paint work against the sunroof darkened glass. What car did you have before and what are your initial impressions of the CC ?.

Love it!!! I have to get one of these. GT, Autumn Brown, 140TDi with DSG is what I'm after in a few years time. Cracking looking cars.

Hi John,

We previously had a 5 series M sport beemer which was very nice, but we have always admired the CC and the bang for buck compared to the BMW. While looking for new [used] car we looked at the CC's and most were either black, silver or some other colour which personally just didnt do it for me enough to take the plunge. We also looked at Merc's which again you pay a premium for the badge it seems. We basically decided not to go for the cc and had reserved a brand new Mazda6 Sport [white of course! It's the new black :)]. On the way to pay for the Mazda we passed a Seat garage being taken over by VW and there on the forecourt was a stunning CC in white, which we had never seen before in white. We went into the garage and it was the managers car and not for sale....bu**er.

Long story short......

We drove 300 miles to Slough to buy this baby before someone else did!

Hadnt driven a auto for a long time so it took a bit of getting used to....keep looking for the clutch..lol.....and have hit the brake a couple of times in doing so :O .

Ok so the drive home was one of the most relaxing drives ever! I thought at 170bhp it may even be slightly underpowered mid range but no its damn near perfect in every way. Its one of those cars where you dont feel the need to drive with your hair on fire, just sit back relax and appreciate this fine car. If you need speed there is a small turbo lag but then unleash the beast, plenty of power for my midlife crisis! Avg 50mpg on the motorways coming home

Cabin build quality is on a par with the beemer and feels solid enough and indeed looks very similar to the beemer with its brushed aluminium trim.

Sat Nav ran alongside my tomtom for a while as I was a little apprehensive driving the M4 and M25 on a new system but in the end I opted for the VW system and also learned to listen to traffic warnings after I ignored these and sat in traffic for 4 hours!

Panoramic sunroof looks really cool but only opens a little bit and apart from allowing additional light into the cabin seems a bit pointless really, but as you said does set the car off against the white.

Reversing camera and front and rear sensors are fantastic, the camera being extra compared to the bmw and is very nice reversing as you can see exactly the poition the car will end up in via the overlaid grids. Stil trying work out Drive Assist but it looks really cool on youtube...lol

Im still discovering new things everyday about this car. Last night I popped a dvd of star wars into the cd tray and behold it played the DVD. I also just discovered it has a built in hard drive but havn't worked out how to access it.

My wife thinks this is the best car we have ever owned and arguably the best looking. Im finding it hard to disagree with her.

BT fitted tomorrow as the icing on the cake.

Happy days

Jo

I've also learnt not to ignore the traffic advice, and if it re-routes you then that's fine with me. I'd never really seen the VW Candy white, it's pretty rare, but then I saw a new R line Passat on a VW dealer transporter truck and it looked great in white. The CC also looks a really classy car, a step up from the usual cars in this class. Are you getting the VW bluetooth built in system ?. The phone keypad appears on the sat nav screen, check this aftermarket supplier with photos. http://www.vwcruise.com/48.html This system also displays on the info screen between the dials.

There's a guy (logiclee) over on the Passat B6 forum with one he's recently had in the same colour. You can see pictures of his here, scroll down a few posts once you get the page up.

I've ordered straight black interior. 140GT short term lease black Golf has eased my can't waitedness, it's pretty nippy :)

Hi Cullinp,

Im offshore now but Ive got the missus taking photos of the interior for you. You wont be dissapointed!

I think the images are limited in size on here hence the small photos in the original post so I will setup a slideshow on imageshack and link to it when done. Dont know if I can manage an engine shot as its unlikely she has worked out where the bonnet release is :Blush2:... she'll kill me for saying that..

:)

@Johnunloader... no mate its just the rebranded bury we had fitted does the job nicely but i suppose the original VW system would look far better.

I will be removing the Bury and retro fitting a VW premium kit from th Polish guy on Ebay. I understand the Bury screen is removable but what does it attach to, is there some king of base plate? And if so, how does the base plate attach to the dash, is it screwed in? Unfortunately ordering premium from the factory was not an option for me.

My bad...should be ok now. I just clicked for flash player 6 as well when the page loaded. The play controls are bottom right of the page, a bit clunky but thats all I can do from work, hope its working now for you.
