The DSG box is supposed to learn your driving style. If so, I must be a lousy teacher.

About 6 months ago, the mechatronic unit was replaced on my 2007 Seat Leon 2.0TDi Stylance, and immediately after the gearchanges were spot on and smooth. Since then they're getting jerky again. Not all the time, and nowhere near as bad as before it was looked at, but I'd like to get that newly-installed 'feel' again.

Searching the web, there are a number of 'methods' to reset the change points and/or clutch pressure, some of which seem more bizarre than others. I've tried disconnecting the battery for half-an-hour, pressing down the accelerator before & after turning the key, etc., but none work.

Is there a way to perform a 'soft reset' of the DSG's memory without >£500 of software?
